Aims and Objectives

Norfolk Peregrines objective is to ensure that Norfolk is an ideal home for this keystone species by:

  • Providing nesting habitats though suitable long lasting nesting platforms for peregrines across Norfolk
  • Engaging and educating local people and visitors with urban wildlife, enthusing them to conserve it for future generations
  • Using peregrines as a keystone species and educating people about all species of raptors and the conservation issues and challenges that they face
  • Training and leading a team of local volunteers to form a community group
  • Conducting scientific research, in order to get a better understanding of peregrines ecology
  • Forming a collaborative support network with exiting sites across Norfolk
  • Supporting local peregrines initiatives with our expertise, experience and skills
  • Getting a better understanding of how peregrines are using the Norfolk landscape and address any issues that they might face, through whole county monitoring
  • Being part of Peoples for Peregrines, a national collaboration helping conserve UK wild peregrines
  • Contributing to the the International Peregrines Conference and follow the Raptor Research Foundation, on an international level
